Courtney Rehm
(Portage Center) was named the GLIAC Freshmen of the Year.  She had an impressive rookie campaign with the nationally-ranked Bulldogs. She wrapped up the regular-season ranked third in blocks among the GLIAC leaders and has recorded a team-high 93 total blocks this season with 17 solo and 76 assists. She’s also notched 192 kills and ranks fourth among the team leaders with 2.06 kills per set. Rehm also is hitting a squad second-best .337 on the year.

Wake Forest freshmen setter Danae Rosendall (Hudsonville) earned ACC Freshmen of the Week honors for her efforts. Rosendall turned in the best match of her freshman season, dishing out a career-best 49 assists against No. 23 Duke. Rosendall almost had a double-double as well with nine digs. Against High Point, Rosendall again led the team with 26 assists, while adding four digs, three blocks an ace and a kill. She leads Wake Forest on the year with 258 assists (8.60 a/s).

Mackenzie Stephens (Marist Freshman) was named the MAAC Rookie of the Week for the second time this season. Stephens led Marist with a .459 hitting percentage over the weekend and contributed 19 kills over the three matches, good for fourth on the Red Foxes. Stephens continued her dominant net presence, tying for the team lead with 10 total blocks, with two being of the solo variety, and an average of one block-per-set. She recorded four total blocks in each of Marist's matches versus NJIT and Army.






Alumni News - 8.29.11

Emily Spencer (IPFW Freshman) continued her torrid start by adding 21 kills on Sunday afternoon, giving the first-year player 37 kills through the first two matches of the season en route to being named to the All-Tournament Team at the Ball State Active Ankle Tournament.






Mackenzie Stephens (Marist Freshman) was named the MAAC Rookie of the Week for her performance this past weekend at the Pitt/Duquesne Invitational. In Marist's three matches, Stephens had 19 kills to only five errors for a .333 hitting percentage to help the Red Foxes to a 1-2 record. In her collegiate debut against Duquesne, Stephens had 9 kills and a .389 hitting percentage, both good for second on the team. She led the Red Foxes with 12 blocks over the three matches, an average of 1.33 blocks-per-set, and was third on the team with the 19 kills and 2.11 kills-per-set.
